Reviewing Patient's Results

Updated over a month ago

The results page is the place to go to review results and gather insights on patients. To get there follow the steps below.

Finding the Patient Results Page

Step 1: Navigate to the patient page found at the top left of the screen and select the desired patients name. From the therapist's patient page, you can also select the corresponding "Results" under the patients name.

Step 2: Select "Results" next to notes to reach the patient's results page.

Insights

The Insights feature is designed to show providers a summary of trends about a patient to help drive better care decisions. It offers a concise view of a patient's current state, enabling providers to learn more about their patients in less time.

In future phases, it will provide deeper insights and more actionable recommendations to guide clinical decision-making and improve patient care. The feature is designed for all providers who review patient assessment results, including therapists, supervisors, administrators, and other clinical users. It benefits providers of all experience levels with Measurement-Based Care (MBC).

How to access the Insights feature?

The Insights feature will be accessible via the Patient's Results page.

Please note: Patients cannot see the insights section from their accounts.

To hide the Insights section, providers can use the arrow toggle in the top right of the insights message to hide the message from showing. When navigating between patients, the state of the accordion will be carried over to the next patient.

For example, if a clinician hides the message for Patient A, and then navigates to Patient B, the default accordion state for Patient B will be hidden.

How does the Insights feature help providers deliver MBC?

For providers new to MBC, the feature helps them understand patient assessment results quicker and provides context to better action the insights, facilitating a smoother integration of MBC into their clinical practice.

Experienced MBC providers will benefit from the feature by understanding results quicker, better actioning the results, and gaining deeper insights into their patients, allowing them to deliver more informed and effective care.

What are some of the primary use cases for the Insights feature?

Our customers have used the Insights feature in session preparation, in session discussions with patients, chart reviews, supervisory reviews, clinical rounds, and many other use cases to efficiently incorporate MBC into their workflows and decision-making processes.

How does the logic work for determining what shows up in the insights message?

The logic prioritizes insights that could suggest a patient is off-track or at risk and may require action such as low engagement, reliable deterioration, consistent deterioration or stagnation trends, or low therapeutic alliance before showing positive messages such as reliable recovery, reliable improvement or high engagement, and other general clinical outcomes insights.

I want to customize the Insights messages, how can I do so?

While not yet available, we plan to customize the insights messages later this year. Our product team would love to hear more about how you plan to customize the insights, so please book a time to discuss this with them here.

I have feedback about the insights messages, how can I share this feedback?

You can share your feedback in our in-product feedback tool directly within the insights feature by selecting the thumbs and providing open text input.

Results 2.0

Results 2.0 is a redesign of the Results Page, which introduces a collapsible structure and improved navigation to enhance provider efficiency and usability. By introducing a more structured layout, Results 2.0 ensures that key insights are easier to find and interpret. Results 2.0 ensures that providers can access MBC data more efficiently, reducing cognitive overload and enabling faster, data-driven decision-making during sessions.

What's New

By default, all assessments start in a collapsed state, with key summary data visible at a glance.

Providers can expand any assessment to view full details on each assessment.

‘Expand All / Collapse All’ buttons will be available at the top and bottom of the results page to allow for quick navigation.

FAQs

How does the feature handle assessments that do not have total scores?

For assessments without a total score, the collapsible summary will show the most recent assessment completion date instead.

How are grouped assessments displayed (ex. ORS/SRS, multiple participants)?

For assessments grouped into a single result card (e.g., ORS/SRS pairs or multi-participant assessments), the summary will show:

  • The date of the most recent assessment.

  • No total score (as this varies by participant or by assessment).

  • The ability to expand and view each submission individually.

Please note: that not all grouped assessments will be in a single card. If they are not part of the same result card, they will be in separate cards that can be expanded and collapsed.

Will this affect the Patient's experience of their Results page?

The collapsible structure will apply to both providers and patients, ensuring consistency in how results are presented. Patients will not see percentage-based changes (from baseline or previous scores), as we want to ensure they interpret their results appropriately. Any provider-only insights or flags (e.g., suicidality risk indicators) will continue to be hidden from the patient view.

Scoring Guides and Scoring Trends

Scoring Guides and Trends can be found on the results page for specific assessments. Underneath the graph of a specific assessment result, you will be able to find a few things. From left to right:

  1. The questions to the assessment along with the last assessment result

  2. The Scoring Trends

  3. The Scoring Guide

Missed assessments in the scoring trend

You may notice dots in the scoring trend. This indicates a null response meaning that the assessment was missed by the patient.

Event Notes, Multiple Participants and Discontinued Assessments

Event notes are notes that show up on the graphs on the results page. They will appear as small dots on the graph that can be hovered over and viewed by patients. For more information check here.

You can add event notes from the graph by selecting the + icon next to Event Note. Please see below for an example.

Viewing results for multiple participants

If an assessment is filled out by multiple participants, you will be able to see results for both participants separately by using the toggle below the graph.

Viewing discontinued assessments

To view discontinued assessments results, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Navigate to the patient profile and select results.

Step 2: Select "view discontinued assessments" under Assessment Results.

Discontinued assessments are assessments that were previously assigned to the patient and were deleted.

Printing and Saving results

You can print or save your patients' visual results display by selecting Print or Download PDF on the Results display. This will print or download a PDF copy of all assigned assessments.

To save the raw assessment data, select View all data and the underlying assessment data will automatically be downloaded.
