MBC Benchmarks Dashboard

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

Greenspace's MBC Benchmarks Dashboard allows Admins to compare their organization's performance against other clinics to identify strengths in their MBC implementation and areas for clinical and process improvement.

MBC Benchmarks was updated in 2026 to enable more meaningful comparisons between organizations. This update introduced a treatment category filter, expanded therapist engagement metrics, and a new metric that accounts for starting severity called Improvement Score (Severity-Adjusted).

Please note: The MBC benchmarks Dashboard does not include participant data of child accounts.

Dashboard Sections

Clinical Outcomes

These tiles show standard clinical outcome metrics across the most commonly used assessments on the platform, allowing you to compare the care outcomes at your organization to your peers.

  • Reliable Improvement Rates — The percentage of cases that reliably improved. Reliable Improvement is defined as an improvement in score that is greater than the reliable change threshold for this measure.

  • Recovery Rates — The percentage of cases that recovered (caseness to non-caseness). Recovery is defined as an improvement in score whereby the first assessment score was above the caseness threshold while the last score is below the caseness threshold.

  • Alliance — This tile displays the Therapeutic alliance scores for the most commonly used Therapeutic Alliance measures on Greenspace. Therapeutic alliance scores are based on the average scores of most recent assessments completed by each patient.Adoption

Improvement Score (Severity-Adjusted)

The Improvement Score (Severity- Adjusted) tiles showcase our most rigorous and fair way of measuring treatment effectiveness. This metric compares each case's improvement to other cases that started treatment at a similar severity level. Results are standardized on a common scale to enable fairer comparisons across organizations. Your organization's improvement score represents the average across all cases. This score is displayed alongside the Greenspace average and 75th percentile, allowing you to benchmark your organization's effectiveness against others.

  • Improvement Score (Severity-Adjusted) — Shows your how much your cases typically improve compared to similar cases. Higher scores mean your organization is seeing stronger overall improvement.

  • Improvement Score (Severity-Adjusted), by measure — Shows the improvement score breakdown of your organization compared to others on a per assessment basis. These tiles represent the proportion of patients and therapists who have successfully begun using MBC. This section can tell you how other organizations adopt MBC in their practice, and how your organization stacks up against peers.

Engagement

These tiles reflect the level of ongoing interaction and utilization of patients and therapists with MBC. Ensure that your patients and clinicians are consistently engaging with MBC to see the highest outcomes.

  • Therapist Logins — Displays the percentage of monthly active therapists who have logged into their Greenspace account during the last 7 days.

  • Therapists Viewing Results — Percentage of therapists who viewed assessment results in the last 30 days

Adoption

These tiles represent the proportion of patients and therapists who have successfully begun using MBC. This section can tell you how other organizations adopt MBC in their practice, and how your organization stacks up against peers.

  • Assigning Assessments — Displays the percentage of active (not archived) patients with one or more assessment(s) assigned. Patients need to be assigned assessments in order to start tracking their progress.

  • Patient Adoption — Shows the percentage of all patients that have completed at least one assessment. Ideally, all patients who have been assigned an assessment for completion complete it.

  • Therapist Adoption — Indicates the percentage of therapists with at least one patient that has completed at least one assessment. This metric indicates that your clinicians understand how to use Greenspace for administering MBC.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of the MBC Benchmarks Dashboard?

The MBC Benchmarks Dashboard provides insights into your organization’s performance in adoption, engagement, and clinical outcomes, comparing these metrics with other organizations using Greenspace to help you evaluate and enhance your implementation of MBC.

Why is this important?

The new version of the MBC Benchmarks Dashboard allows organizations to compare themselves against truly similar peers based on treatment type, population served, and care setting — making benchmarks more credible, actionable, and valuable for both operational improvement and external conversations with funders and payers.

Can I compare my organization across multiple treatment categories?

Yes. If your organization operates programs in different treatment categories, you can use the filter to view benchmarks for each category separately. Additionally, the "All Greenspace" category remains available if you want to see comparisons across the entire customer base.

Which assessments are included for the outcome measures?

For clinical outcome measures we have attempted to benchmark the PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, PSC-17, OASIS and WSAS against all treatment categories. Assessments will only show up in a treatment category if we have a sufficient sample of customers using the assessment. Our rule of thumb is generally 10 customers, however we adjusted as needed based on sample variance.

For Therapeutic Alliance measures we have attempted to benchmark the BR-WAI, SRS and WAI-6 against all treatment categories. We followed the same logic as outlined above. All treatment categories had sufficient data for at least the BR-WAI.

How are benchmark thresholds determined?

Benchmarks are only displayed for categories with sufficient data to ensure statistical validity (generally a minimum of 10 organizations). The median (50th percentile) represents typical performance, while the 75th percentile represents top-quartile performance within your selected category.

Are calculations done at the clinic level or the customer level?

We’ve assigned categories at the clinic level. If a customer has multiple clinics in the same category, it’s clinic data will be combined to create one organization wide scores for that category.

Median and 75th percentiles are calculated at the customer level.

Can I export or share these benchmarks?

Yes. You can use screenshots or the existing download functionality to share benchmark comparisons for funding applications, board reports, or other purposes.

How can I request access to the MBC Benchmarks Dashboard?

To request access to the dashboard provided by Greenspace Health, simply reach out to your CSM, message us via our chat, or email [email protected] with your name, affiliation (if applicable), and the purpose for which you intend to use the dashboard. The Support Team will guide you through the necessary steps to obtain access.

Can I customize this dashboard?

No, since the MBC Benchmarks Dashboard utilizes aggregate data and statistical approaches, at this time we are unable to make any modifications.

We will be making future improvements to benchmarks. We're collecting feedback on V2 to inform future iterations, which may include additional treatment categories, drill-down capabilities for multi-location organizations, longitudinal tracking, and the ability to define custom peer comparison groups.

If you have any feedback to help us improve the dashboard for everyone, please let us know by reaching out to us via chat or by completing this short survey.
