Managing Therapists by Episode

Updated over a week ago

The Multiple Episodes of Care feature is currently in Beta and only available to some customers.

The Therapists by Episode functionality extends Multiple Episodes of Care by allowing clinics to set and view provider assignments at the episode level, improving patient management and data accuracy. When starting a new episode, therapists can be selected and assigned to that specific episode. This way, therapeutic alliance scores can be calculated more accurately for each provider, using only the data from relevant episodes.

Assigning Therapists

Therapists can be assigned when starting a new episode. Previous therapists will be selected by default, but this can be updated by deselecting and selecting therapists from the 'Therapists assigned' dropdown.

Managing Therapists

Therapists for each episode can be viewed and managed from the 'Manage Episodes' tab in the patient profile.

To update assigned therapist for any episode, click on the '3 dot' menu on the right of each episode row and select 'Manage Providers'.

A popup will appear where you can add or remove therapists. You will also have the option to share notes with all providers.

Patient List

Depending on the episode that a therapist is assigned to, the patient will appear in one of two places on the patient list:

  • If a therapist is assigned to an active episode, the patient will appear on the active patient list.

  • If a therapist is assigned to an ended episode, the patient will appear under 'Archived' patients. However, therapists will still have access to the patient file as long as they are assigned to an episode.

Therapeutic Alliance

Therapeutic alliance scores will also take into account the episode data that a therapist is assigned to.

Therapeutic Alliance calculations for therapists will only use response data from episodes that a therapist is assigned to. This will result in data that more accurately reflects each therapist's involvement in their patients' care journey.
