Kiosk options for Admins

Updated over a month ago

The Kiosk is a flexible way to complete assessments and can be used in a variety of ways. Think of the Kiosk method as a unique website that can present the patients their specific assessments using a unique code. This unique code can either be generated for them or made for them via custom kiosk codes. You can be creative with the kiosk, some common use cases for the Kiosk are:

  • Making a QR code using the Kiosk link for patients to scan and complete assessments from their own devices, all at the same time. Useful for group settings.

  • If you have tablets in the waiting room, have them display the Kiosk before a session instead of using pens and clipboards. Make sure to bookmark the kiosk link as an icon on the device.

  • Put the Kiosk link or QR code into organization communications such as company website pages, reminder emails or virtual waiting rooms.

Kiosk Settings

In order to unlock the full potential of the Kiosk we will need to configure our Kiosk. By navigating through the clinic settings to "Kiosk", we will be able to see the Kiosk information. Here you can see your organizations kiosk address, enable custom kiosk codes, choose which assessments are available via kiosk for patients and edit the kiosk message shown to the clients accessing the Kiosk.

Kiosk Address

If you ever needed your organization's Kiosk address to make QR codes or put in company communications you can copy it quickly.

To get the link:

Step 1: Navigate to clinic settings and click Kiosk.

Step 2: Click Copy next to "Your Kiosk Address".

Now you can use the link to direct patients to the Kiosk page.

Custom Kiosk Codes

Custom Kiosk codes will allow therapists and admins to create a custom code for their patients to access their assessments in the Kiosk. Some suggestions are a combination of birth year, initials or some other unique identifier.

To enable custom Kiosk Codes for the clinic follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to clinic settings and click Kiosk.

Step 2: Slide the "Enable Custom Kiosk Codes" over to yes.

Once custom codes are enabled in the clinic we can now create the custom code for patients. Please see the steps below:

Step 1: Navigate to the patients "manage" page.

Step 2: Navigate to Kiosk configuration and change the slider to "custom".

Step 3: Enter the code you wish for this patient to use, confirm which assessments are to be presented and save.

Assessment Presentation

The assessment presentation default using the Kiosk method can be changed. The two options are "Only Outstanding" assessments or "All Assigned" assessments.

  • "Only outstanding" will present assessments that the patient has yet to complete.

  • "All assigned" will present all assessments that have been assigned to a patient regardless if they have completed one earlier.

Editing the Kiosk message

The Kiosk message as default is set to "Enter your personal kiosk code to complete your assessments." However, this can be changed to what suits your organization. This message is presented to patients when they enter their code in the Kiosk and provides guidance on what to enter.

  • We recommend providing clear instructions as to what code they should enter.

  • This instruction is also presented to therapists and admins when they are setting the custom Kiosk code for each patient.

  • Some commonly used examples are phone number, health card number and last name + first initial.

To edit the Kiosk Instruction Message follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to clinic settings and click Kiosk.

Step 2: Click Edit next to "Kiosk Instruction Message". You will then be prompted to modify the message.

Step 3: Enter your new prompt message and save.
