The Assessment Completion dashboard helps you understand how consistently participants complete their assessments after they begin the measurement process.
This is an optional standard dashboard. It may not be enabled for every account, and some organizations may already have custom Assessment Completion tiles. If your account has both, the numbers may differ because the dashboards use different participant groups.
How the completion rate is calculated
The Assessment Completion Rate (Engaged Participants) is the percentage of delivered assessments that were completed among participants who have engaged with at least one assessment.
A participant is considered engaged when they have completed at least one assessment.
Participants who were sent assessments but never completed one are excluded from the completion-rate calculation. Participants who completed only an intake assessment are also excluded.
The dashboard includes completions by all participant types. Use the Participant Type filter to focus on a specific group.
This approach reflects program performance after participants begin participating in measurement-based care. It does not treat participants who never engaged as failed completions.
What counts as a delivery
Every time an assessment is sent to a participant counts as one delivery. This includes scheduled sends, a provider sending an assessment manually, sends at patient creation, and starting an assessment at a kiosk when no assessments are outstanding.
Reminders are not deliveries. Opening an assessment link or entering a kiosk code when assessments are already outstanding gathers those assessments into one session; it does not create new deliveries.
If a delivery is not completed before it expires—about four days on the standard setup—it is counted as missed and stays missed. Re-sending the assessment afterwards creates a new delivery.
Dashboard tiles
The standard dashboard includes six tiles: the headline completion rate, two supporting number tiles, a monthly trend, completion by assessment, and unengaged participants.
Assessment Completion Rate (Engaged Participants)
Shows the overall percentage of delivered assessments that were completed by engaged participants.
Use this tile to understand completion performance among participants who have started completing assessments. Select the tile to open a drill-down by assessment showing delivered assessments, completed assessments, and the completion rate.
Delivered (Engaged Participants)
Shows the number of assessment deliveries included in the engaged-participant calculation.
Use this number with the Completed tile to understand the counts behind the headline completion rate.
Completed
Shows the number of delivered assessments that were completed within the engaged-participant calculation.
Use this number with the Delivered (Engaged Participants) tile to understand the counts behind the headline completion rate.
Completion Rate Over Time
Shows the engaged-participant completion rate by month. The chart also shows how completed assessments are distributed across delivery methods, including in-session on device, email, SMS, and kiosk.
The delivery-method segments show each method’s share of total completions for the month. They are not separate completion rates for each delivery method.
Completion Rate by Assessment
Shows the completion rate for individual assessments, such as the PHQ-9 or GAD-7.
Use this view to identify assessments with stronger or weaker completion among engaged participants.
Unengaged Participants
Shows the percentage of participants who were sent assessments but completed none. This is the group excluded from the headline completion rate.
Select the tile to open a detailed list of the excluded participants. Use this view to identify participants who may need follow-up.
Use filters to explore the data
The dashboard responds to page-level filters, including:
Assessment
Clinic
Assigned Therapist
Episode Start Date
Episode Status
Date Range
Participant Type
Patient Type
Assigned Tags
Delivery Method
Assessment Completion Date defaults to the most recent 180 days. Episode Status reflects the participant’s current status—Active or Closed—not their status when the assessment was delivered. Results may therefore change if a participant’s current status changes.
Use filters to compare completion across programs, clinics, participant types, assessments, delivery methods, or date ranges.
Dashboard availability
The standard dashboard is optional and is enabled per account in GS Admin by Greenspace. If you do not see it, your organization may not have it enabled or may be using a custom Assessment Completion dashboard instead. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you have questions about availability.
Understanding differences from existing custom dashboards
Existing custom Assessment Completion dashboards use the older all-assigned-participants calculation by design. They include participants who have never completed an assessment, while the standard dashboard’s headline rate includes engaged participants only. The standard rate will generally be higher, so the two dashboards’ numbers are expected to differ; that difference reflects the calculation and participant group, not necessarily a change in behavior or data.
The Delivered (Engaged Participants) tile shows the delivery count used in the standard dashboard’s headline calculation, and the Completed tile shows the completed-assessment count used in that same calculation. Participants with deliveries but no qualifying completions remain visible separately in the Unengaged Participants tile.
